Two...
...of the long train of oil tankers on their way to destinations unknown.
We had a wonderfully loud and flashing thunderstorm about 4:00 this morning, and when I got up at 8:00 it was so dark outside that it still felt like night. Tom had a lab appointment at 9:30, and just before we headed out to the garage to get in the car, the skies opened up and it just poured down. We could hear distant thunder but no lightening. I'd brought the camera along "just in case", and no sooner did we turn onto Layton Ave. than the railroad guards went down and the lights started to flash--we had to stop for the train. Fortunately it was a nice long one, so I had time to pull out the camera to take a few photos. I tried shutting off the wipers but then I couldn't see a thing, so it took me a few tries to time my shot as the wipers went up or down to avoid having them in the picture. Thanks to Majoayee for hosting MonoMonday this week! :)
