Old and new
Please forgive - I confess I took this yesterday. Today all I’ve done is work more than 8 hours at the Oxfam shop, then come home and sort out the dead rat in the hallway. I really haven’t seen anything to blip. You wouldn’t have liked the rat:)
At the Oxfam shop there is an overwhelming amount of donations of children’s books. I think it has something to do with people sorting out their childhood bedrooms before going off to uni. So we have some great books - but about 5 times as many as will fit in the children’s section. So we’re doing buy one get one free for a while to try to make space.
The above blip is of the part of river Avon I walked beside on my walk into town yesterday morning. The old Victorian walls surround what used to be the goods yard at Temple Meads station. The new blue bridge was to take people to the 10, 000 seater arena which isn’t going to be built now. I think it’s a good design, and that both old and new are attractive.
I always love walking beside the river - it’s a wonderful route into the city, though it takes a bit longer.
