Those cockatoos...

The Viburnums (macrocephalum and carlesii) and the Forsythia are bursting into bud and first lovely flowers when....woosh...snip...tssss...down come the sulphur-crested cockies, and the best of the spring show is ripped off and tossed aside. We wouldn't mind so much if they got nourishment from them, but no, it's more like just a game. Today, in exasperation, I hung some tinsel on the bushes as a deterrent; I suspect they' ll still have the last laugh.
