Mystery things

Related to last week's entry these strange looking things are on the upper surface of some of the leaves of the lime tree. I'm guessing that they're egg cases of some sort but looking through images on Google didn't show any matches. There's only so many pictures of insect eggs that one can handle. They're between 3mm and 5mm long. Many thanks for the butterfly hearts etc yesterday. Thanks to JDO for hosting.
