Japanese juice poppers

Unusual food substance of the weekend #2.

At this juice/frozen yoghurt/crêpe café in Islington, where we popped in to get a juice to fend off our colds (went for a 'Beach Babe' - not exactly seasonal - a super healthy fruity combination of all sorts of tropical things!), we spotted these supercolourful fruit toppings. In the centre at the front are Japanese juice poppers. What on earth are they?! Will have to go back when the temperature has risen to buy a frozen yoghurt and find out...
