Heading home
The road to Lochbuie is a left turn off the main Craignure to Iona road. It is eight mile run after taking the left and must be one of the most beautiful roads on Mull and great for cyclists. It can twist and turn in parts and yesterday we heard a lovely story; A driver of an articulated lorry was making his way along there with a drone flying out ahead on the look out for on coming vehicles. There are passing places, some quite small this gave the driver warning of likely tight spots.
We called into the cafe before leaving this morning and commented on the number of people waiting to be served yesterday, a surprise to them as well and this morning was just as busy with five of us queueing outside a couple minutes before ten, we left an hour later and a good number of bird watchers had turned up with their scopes looking out to sea and on the road out we met about a dozen motorcyclists and easily as many camper vans/motor homes.
Extras: and yes the phone box was out of order…..
Home now to two pusscats and a lovely afternoon, waiting for the other two to arrive home.
