Van the man
Gogh that is. Went to an immersive event by the Albert Memorial and came out …. Well, thoroughly immersed. Very enjoyable actually. Informative. Moving even. Avoided most of the cliches (thank god, no Don Maclean Starry Starry Night amongst the music offerings; it was all classical), although the Vincent Van Duck rubber bath toy in the gift shop was highly suspect. There was one point where a gun goes off and an obviously bored little boy yelled excitedly "he’s shot himself" as if here, finally, was something he could enjoy that approximated to his online gaming and action movie watching experience…
As it was The Yoga Mama’s birthday we went for lunch in a rather fabulous vegan restaurant called The Holy Carrot in Knightsbridge. She was delighted to be presented with a new iPad that was a collective family gift.
After we all went our separate ways TSM and I walked back to Waterloo and clocked up a goodly number of steps to round off the day.
Little album here
