New to me

This is the only photograph I have taken today: the flowers in yesterday's delivery that I didn't recognise. They are cartamus apparently, like an orange thistle. I'm looking forward to everything opening up. It's been a wet, miserable day today. Hard to think that we were all so warm last Tuesday. It's my duty day so I have spent break and lunchtime in a waterproof and with an umbrella trying to persuade students to use their wet weather spaces. Three meetings during the course of the day and a couple of lessons taught too and a few things ticked off the list once I was home too.  It's been a busy start to the week.
