Morning visitors

Well, I got my blip pretty early today. As I am having breakfast I look outside the patio door and there is a turkey family hanging out on the fence. 9 of them and one on my neighbors lawn on the other side of the fence. I must say they are one of the ugliest birds I have ever see. They are also quite fearless.
Growing up here I never saw any turkeys. 75 of them were brought here in the 80’s from upstate NY and Pennsylvania, now it’s estimated that there are over 6000 thriving on LI.
