Day 24 "NN" - Toyboyfriend
Our last day!
We were up at 9 am and morning dip was far out. It’s much easier when the tide is in ….
We had coffee in the sun, tidied a bit and set off with the quad to the end of the road and walked to the white sands again.
Much nicer walk than yesterday!!
We went for a swim in the turquoise water, had a chat with a couple from Longniddry who arrived with a canoe to camp for a few days.
And observed a guy with metal detector, bow and and electric chanter.
We left after 5pm to be in tome for our dinner booking at 6:30.
At the car park was the bow guy with his vintage Jag and then slowly the Penny dropped. It was Paul MacDonald. The sword maker and martial arts teacher.
He has Rob Roy’s sword. I admired it at the gathering of the clans years ago in Edinburgh.
They were also heading to the Inn and he promised to bring the sword.
We quadded home, changed and drove to the Pub for our last dinner.
Paul had two swords lying on the table and we had a bit of a chat before he was heading off to visit Charlie at Glenfinnan.
We headed home too. Tired from walking, swimming and loads of fresh air …..
Blipping a funny edit of Neil and the Quad - the sword is in the extras
