Future

Another full day at work was mainly spent talking to new students: three virtually and three in person. The last was particularly touching for being with someone whose sponsor pulled out last week. He appreciated my talking to him and suggesting what little I might do to help him get funding to study in 12 months time. Unlike yesterday, I didn't make the error of not having lunch, and ended up eating it with my younger daughter K, who was at King's Buildings for the first induction event of the degree programme she's starting.

After my last meeting with new students, И called in and we had a long chat about future strategies as we walked up and down Blackford Hill in the pleasant sunshine.

The future looks bright!
