Holding On!

There is often a tendency in familiar places to find yourself drawn towards what you normally see. Sometimes though it is more rewarding to slow down or stop altogether, and allow your eyes and brain to interact with the environment around you. Here I stopped and looked down from the quay to the seaweed floating upwards on the rising tide. I liked the colours, patterns and contrast in this scene, though some people may wonder why anyone would take a photograph of it! Decided as a late thought to add a tag for the W-I-D-E  on Wednesday challenge. Not a wide angle view but it was cropped to create a wide view and features water, so why not.
