Charmouth
We wanted to have a look at Charmouth, the resort further east from Lyme and we parked near the beach. We intended to try here for some fossils. Neither of us has been to this place before. It was peaceful when we arrived but very soon the beach had many fossil-hunters on it! The beach is long and wide so it's not as if there was a lack of space.

After a spell here we went for a second visit to Lyme but this time we kept the car on the good car park and walked along the seafront. I found a geocache at Lyme and we had a lovely lunch there from a takeaway set on a raised street above the beach. We had a parasol and table plus a great view of seagulls attacking people with food on the beach! Terry had a ham and cheese sandwich and I had a cheese and red onion baguette. The food came with extras of crisps and coleslaw for Terry and salad and coleslaw for me. The sandwiches were packed full and delicious. As we were leaving with our rubbish to find a bin the owner popped his head out of the doorway and said "I'll take your rubbish". How nice! We have noted that everywhere is spotless down here. No litter anywhere - not in any of the resorts we've been to anyway and not in Beer where we are staying.
