Monarch

It seems I may have contributed to some disharmony in the blip world. I don't know whether it was my blip in particular that caused a reaction or whether it was just sheer irony that david:seventyseven and I spent quite a bit of the past 24 hours alongside each other on the spotlight page......my blip acknowledging my 400th and david's declaring his dislike of the unofficial celebrations. In any case - no hard feelings david......but it did make me smile ;) Thanks to everyone who stopped by and commented - official or not, it made me feel good :)

In other world shattering news, I got out into the garden again this afternoon to finish off the destruction I began yesterday. What I thought would be the worst bit to do actually turned out to be a bit of a doddle. I'm sure the reason is because the ground is soooooo dry that the weeds have nothing of substance to hang on to! Really, I don't think I've ever known it to be this dry at this time of the year - it's actually quite depressing! A large Rhoddedendron I bought a bit over 2 years ago is suffering big time - leaves yellowing and dropping and looking altogether very sick! I decided I had to do something to try to help it so put the sprinklers on. I aim to do this for the next few days too just to get the moisture right down into the deeper soil.

And that's about it for another day.
