Not a great start to the day!

I was taking F.M.i.L, Betty, to church this morning so about 09:10 got to the large Junction of Metz Way and Eastern Avenue, Gloucester.
Someone had obviously run a red light, no idea which one, but it looks like the car going left to right was going at a fair lick. Apart from demolishing the side of the far car it had been pushed onto the traffic island and knocked over a couple of sign posts.
Late for work maybe? Whatever the reason for the crash there is absoutely no reason to run red lights, or speed for that matter.
Apart from the recovery trucks there is an ambulance just pulling away on the far side of the cars so someone was hurt.
