mediterranean waves

we were expecting rain today so spent most of it working in the house. By afternoon it was calm with sunshine so we headed to what we thought was a fairy sheltered beach for our first swim in the sea  for a couple of years. I did manage to have a quick dip but have never seen such waves on the med before  so rapidly retreated back onto the beach to read my book instead.
