Sweetheart Abbey

Wednesday 15th September, Blipped on Thursday 16th.

Today we drove west towards Dumfries and just beyond. It was the first time we have explored this area. The highlight for us was along the River Nith and along to Sandyhills via New Abbey. 

I have picked Sweetheart Abbey at New abbey for my Blip. We’re always interested in looking around graveyards and this one had a headstone about 6’ wide and 5’ high. Both sides had a full family history engraved on it..!
