Nigella

I persuaded MrHCB to buy and grow some Nigella seeds because of the wonderful photos of Nigella that Aliscotia has posted over the years, and they always look so gorgeous!  MrHCB has struggled with them and we have two weedy plants.  This is the best flower yet (it's tiny, only about an inch across).  I'm not sure he will be persuaded to do it again.

Some old friends came for a long and chatty lunch today.  We were so lucky to be able to sit out in the garden, one of the few times this year.
