A nice walk on the beach

We're making sure the house is ready for our new cat Lily when she moves in next week. 
I managed to get through to my brother on the phone this morning. Not a mean feat as the reception around his Catalonian farmhouse is awful but we managed to have a conversation with him going upstairs to help the signal. MrsW and I had been planning a trip to see him this autumn but with us taking on a new cat we decided that we would leave it till spring when Lily should be settled enough to go to her cattery for a week while we were away. Also with thoughts of possible winter waves of covid we were getting concerned we had left it a bit late. He seems in good spirits considering that he lives there alone since his partner Judy died last year. It's just him and 3 or 4 cats but he seems comfortable with his position. I think he's got good friends in the area. 
We decided to motor over to Snettisham to catch the last rays of the sun. A good decision as usual.
