My entry for the Worlds Most Boring Blip
The inspiration for this blip was a trip to the opticians for both myself and Wife1. To be honest a picture of my overall impression of our visit would feature a column of over 800 one pound coins but I don't have these handy. An expensive visit but everyone in the shop were very friendly so that's a plus.
Our visit was timed to coincide with taking the car in for its annual service as we don't want to make too many trips to the big city, well Kings Lynn. The service was fine and free under our service plan and, as usual, a salesman started talking to us about buying a new car. Whilst driving to the garage we had specifically said to ourselves we were not going to look at replacing the car, the current one is only a year old.
We might have failed.
We buy our cars using the companies interest free credit, 42 months and a lump repayment to them at the end. The salesman has now sent his proposal for us to buy a new car. It appears we can get a brand new car (identical to our existing one) for 16p a month more per month, with the final payment being the same and with an extra 2000 miles allowance.
Now there has to be a catch, but I can not find it. I have gone through his figures time and again and still don't understand how or why. But if they will do what they say, we will have a new car.
Funny old day
