Flower Friday . . . Kowhai

These are the first Kowhai flowers to appear on the tree that I planted as a seedling from Ann's garden.  It appears a bird has been having a nibble at them.  One day in years to come I dream a big Kereru/native wooden pigeon will be attracted to the flowers.  I would also be happy with several Tui in it.
