Black woodpecker

After checking on the cattle in the morning, I was going to get the seed drill to be washed. Noticed the black woodpecker and went back home to get a camera. Two shots and it was gone. Not a rare bird, but not as common as cousin Great Spotted, and I think I haven't got any shots of it before.

A cold day for washing machines or anything, just +7°C. Heard that it's the coldest September (so far) in 13 years. Of course it happens to be the year that I try winter wheat. It certainly needs warmer weather!
