Madonna and child

My grandfather cast this wall plaque somewhere near the turn of the 1900’s. He has a foundry in Smethwick.
We have always kept it in the family.
I imagine it’s painted ferrous not brass.
I haven’t seen another.
It needed a wash so I thought I’d give it a shower and reposition it on the wall. I found a makers mark. Now to find out more!
