Gone fishing.
We didn’t have to go fishing for our lunch today. We went to our favourite little Thai restaurant in Leatherhead. I always have a Massaman curry, but N always tries something different.
Afterwards we set off in the car to the Leith Hill area to explore the narrow lanes, sunk deep in the greensand soil. The area is thickly wooded, mostly magnificent beech trees. They were so lovely in the afternoon sun, but it wasn’t easy for N to stop for my photo, the roads are so narrow. Eventually we arrived at Friday Street where it was possible to stop beside the lovely lake created by a dam across a stream A family were fishing from the dam, but said they hadn’t caught anything.
