East Lothian Nocturne

At least I was looking towards the East Lothian skyline from Portobello beach. Channeling my inner Whistler. I still have a print of Whistler's
Crepuscule in Flesh Colour and Green: Valparaiso which I bought when visiting a Whistler exhibition at the Tate many, many years ago. Just checked, as I still have the exhibition catalogue on the bookshelf. It was 1994, and they had borrowed Arrangement in Grey and Black: Portrait of the Painter's Mother, so I got to see it then, even if it was away on loan again when I visited the Musee d'Orsay on our college Paris trip in 2010. Which was a shame as I had written about the picture for a college assignment.
