Had a hike up Moncrieffe Hill and was surprised to see the trig painted! Never seen a white one before. Lunch at a farm restaurant you can spot from the top here called The Earn. Great soup and selection of cakes/tray ales afterwards. I like it here as they let dogs in - much better in my view than farm restaurants that ban dogs! Or say they are dog friendly when they only allow dogs in the sit out area. There was a good variety of JRT’s , spaniels, collies and some ones with ‘poo’ at the end of their name costing thousands !

Fighting a losing battle this year with slugs/snails. We planted a Lupin that was almost decimated and I didn’t like doing it but put a few slug pellets down but made sure was protected from birds /animals with stuff round it. Big black dead slugs and green ones lying around they are disgusting. The Lupin has recovered with greenery since doing this.
