Ipomoea lobata, the fire vine, firecracker vine or
Spanish Flag (*)
My mum and my sister travelled all the way to Chatham to spend some time looking at boats and almshouses with me. And after that we wandered into Rochester where I spotted these beside the cathedral. UB40 are playing in the castle grounds this evening and so a great many people were loitering outside listening to second-hand sound escaping over the keep wall, but we discovered a wonderful little Russian Bistro where we were able to enjoy some delicious food in lovely surroundings at astonishingly reasonable prices. All-in-all a wonderful day and a great discovery.
