Deserted

We drive to Southerness today and what a delight it was! A huge expanse of beach, the tide was miles out and not a soul on the beach! The weather was much better than expected.
We had planned to eat at The Anchor in Kippford but when we got there our table ( which we had booked) was taken! The staff weren’t very apologetic or helpful. It was very busy and warm so we decided to leave . Very disappointing but we had plenty of food at the caravan so cooked ourselves a delicious meal .
