Every 17 Years

These large and creepy looking Cicadas come out every 17 years. This is their year apparently. Their song is high-pitched and very loud during the day and evening and it creates a dim !!!

Both Jon and I said we didn’t notice them today so not sure if they’ve reached the end of their life cycle or if we’re just getting used to them. This one was dead on the sidewalk.
