Kendal Chocolate House

One of my tiny treasures from my first visit to England in 1998.  It needed a dusting as did most of the treasures in my china cabinet, so I thought it would make a good blip.

The Kendal Chocolate House dates back to the mid-1600s and looks exactly as it appears here in this amazing reproduction by Lilliput Lane.  My husband and I sat at the table by the window on the left opposite the door and enjoyed some of their delicious treats.  A precious memory indeed.

My mother's maiden name was Kendal (with one "L" as she stated frequently).  I really would love to make another trip to Kendal Town to do some family research.  I believe there's even a Carnegie Library there which I'd love to see as well.
