Gateway to nowhere

We were out for lunch with our son and daughter-in-law today then this afternoon we had our usual walk round the village, and along to the next village. We seem to do that every time we stay with them, I just love the quaint old place. This gate always fascinates me because it has no fence or wall next to it.
