Ljungan - Mountain to Sea
We've followed the river Ljungan throughout this journey, though I've not always realised it. My first evening I blipped "Sunset Lake" which is part of Ljungan's journey to the sea. Then we switched to a parallell valley and river (Ljusnan) for a few days. Crossing Flatruet bought us back to the Ljungan watershed. The clue is in the name of the village we dropped down to; Ljungdalen, Ljung Dale... The Ljung Valley. Kesufallet, blipped by Jan, is on the first tributary to join Ljungan, as it leaves the mountains. The lake we camped by last night was part of the Ljungan.
This photo of the Havero Ström is, of course, part of the same river. We have driven past a sign to this nature reserve many times. This time we decided to pause and take a look! First a walk through natural forest and then we hear the roar of water, and emerge onto a dam to see this water pouring out of a sluice. We stayed a while and then decided home was calling. Well, actually IKEA and similar was calling first, as Jan blips, but after that home called and here we are.
Sleep well readers, we certainly shall!
