(263) As The Crow Flies

21km straight across the River Forth or 58km by road. Some years ago there was a trial run of a hovercraft ferry from Kirkcaldy to Edinburgh (out of this frame, to the right) but, sadly, nothing ever came of it. 

Extras today are from Sunny B (the CB name for Burntisland, also from some years ago!) and Kinghorn, looking upriver towards Burntisland and the Forth Bridges. What a weekend it's been for cycling, with two days of calm conditions, blue skies, bright sunshine and very pleasant temperatures.
