Nuts

Admittedly, this photo is mostly out of focus...but I wanted to mark the day with the pile of dry leaves at this early date.  Mr M had not been to Russell Upland Preserve before.  It was his choice for our hike today.  It's very isolated and we only passed a few walkers with dogs.  We walked the Lake and Hickory trails.  He understood how I got lost there when there were no trail markers or signs.  He commented how fortunate we are to have so many wonderful large parks nearby.
