Catching flies

Watched this lovely robin for a while this morning. It was catching miniscule insects. This was the only photo, of many, where the robin's beak was open. He was fast and I wasn't so quick.

Yesterday turned out to be a fairly quiet day. The weather was good so the visitors' towels and bedding were washed, dried outside and aired. Always a nice feeling. The house seems quiet and empty.

But not for long. Monday childminding and our grandson is on his way from Glasgow to spend the day here. It's another beautiful day. It's cool but sunny. I think it will be warm later. What good luck to have the lovely weather continue as autumn approaches.
