Is it safe to take a drink?

After hanging around the kitchen window all day, finally caught this little greenfinch on our bird bath. It's taken through the double glazing, hence the haziness.

UPDATE
After I blipped this the entire bird population of our area came and frolicked in the bird bath, some of them two at a time. I even saw a wren! Too late!
