Looking out! (over the end of the world)
We headed off down to The Tramway in what must have been the coldest wind this year. Both our faces, heads, ears etc were numb and it took some coffee and about half an hour to thaw back to reality.
We had went along to see the human rights photography exhibition about torture victims living in Glasgow.
It was a real eye opener for us - Once these people arrive in the U.K they are far from the end of their struggle.
One guy described Glasgow to a friend as "the end of the world" before committing suicide.
We then headed up to the Glad for a series of documentaries made by Iraqi film students about everyday Iraqi life. The raw documentaries were incredible and painted a far different portrait of everyday Iraqi life and the people.
They were presented by Reel Iraq and they told us how dangerous it was for them to make and show the films in Iraq because of the censoring of culture.
As part of the event two traditional Iraqi musicians were supposed to play......
....they were refused entry into the country!
