The Sound of Sleat

The title comes from a Jon Schueler painting that we came across in the City Art Gallery even before we moved to Edinburgh. His view was painted from Mallaig. My interpretation was taken from near Armadale on Skye, pretty much opposite Mallaig. Seeing the lowering cloud and the light this morning brought home why he loved Mallaig, and how the Sleat paintings came about. Jon Schueler was a very interesting, and talented, artist see more here.
