Clutching At Straws

I was struggling for an image today until late in the day when I saw this poor little straw man in a fairly advanced state of disintegration in one of our garden pots.
The background is a picture from a food magazine of a banana custard choux ring (everyone has one of these lying around surely!) - I love the shapes and textures - and the dark spots are raindrops that began to fall just as I clicked the shutter.
I like that it has a slightly sinister feel to it -  a cross between a poor man's The Quatermass Experiment and a budget The Wicker Man! :-)
