Basilica Orbweaver

I usually walk by a spider and don't think much of it, but this morning I spotted the egg sac of this spider in a shrub along my sidewalk.  I was intrigued by the shape, and since the spider was hanging out below, and not moving, I went inside to get my macro lens.  After a little research I determined it's a Basilica Orbweaver, which often choose a shrub like my juniper to call home.  I can't imagine how many spiderettes will be emerging.
