Maize

I had no idea that maize was grown in Scotland - I associate it with the USA - but here it is! I wonder if this is a new crop since the climate started changing? I just looked it up: first result, a Scottish government agriculture handbook from 20 years ago saying that the east of Scotland is too cold to grow maize successfully. Looks like things have changed.
