A return to Santa Monica beach

Three decades ago I spent over a month here learning about plastic surgery while on an extended elective as a medical student. With my friend who is now an experienced plastic surgeon in Oxford It proved a formative experience for us both. Today we drove an hour and a half from Ventura to have a family brunch on the beach. It is just as magnificent a I remembered it.
