Thump

Lying in bed I heard a loud thump. I elbowed the seemingly sleeping Foloh. He had heard it and was blaming my cones of wool saying one must have fallen. I disagreed but there was no sign of him going to investigate so up I got. I soon found the cause and went outside in case the bird was injured but there was no sign of any bird so I hope it is ok.
You can quite clearly see it was most likely the wood pigeon. I have these glass balls in every window to try and warn the birds but they still hit occasionally, especially the young ones. The trees from behind me are reflected in the glass.
