Teasel

For the special  400th Mono Monday challenge our host, random_angel, set a challenge around the basics of mono photography: light, shadows and texture. 

A walk around a local wood with my sister and BiL offered up a number of possibilities, including some  “King Alfred’s cakes” fungi (extra). My favourite was this shot a spiky Teasel seed head, at a slightly unusual angle, which seemed to fit the theme perfectly.
