My Husband - the "Egghead"

After a wonderful Praise and worship time in church for Palm Sunday, I tackled the backlog of digital photos on my computer! A project that I thought was only going to be one hour, ended up all afternoon! I needed to get it done anyway. But I was happy it was a foggy gray day outside and not a beautiful sunny day beckoning me to go play.

My sweet husband offered to grill up some salmon on our Big Green Egg for dinner. We have had our Egg for over 15 years and love it.

The Big Green Egg is commonly referred to as a kamado barbecue because of the origins of the basic design from Japan. The word "mushikamado" means "steam cooker" (from "mushi" meaning "to steam", and "kamado" meaning "cooker, oven, or kiln") The mushikamado was a device designed to steam rice and used by Japanese families for ceremonial occasions and took the shape of a round clay pot with a removable domed clay lid. The Egg is made from a high fiber ceramic that was developed for the space shuttle program specifically designed to reflect heat and this allows temperatures of up to 650 degrees Celsius (1200 Fahrenheit) to be reached.

Everything that my husband grills on the Egg is amazing. He is a devotee to the Egg - making him a "Egghead". I say that in a loving way!!!
