Poor Gelert

Today we did a 7 mile circular hike from Bedgelert to Llyn Dinas. Much more strenuous than I anticipated.
Bedgelert is a lovely village and here is the hound after whom it is named i.e. ‘Gelerts Grave. The hound belonged to Prince Llewelyn who killed his faithful dog when he mistakenly thought Gelert had killed his baby son. In fact Gelert had saved the baby from a hungry wolf.
