Last Day of Summer

The 'final' job on the stove didn't go so well.  M needed to fit a new cowl and discovered that the flue lining needs replacing.  Did a temporary fix for now and will order a new lining once we've figured out how many metres we need.  Whilst M was on the roof I headed out to do a tip run, long over due.   Put a trap out this afternoon and have already caught our first mouse since last winter.  I know I didn't liberate it far enough away from the house as it was raining, so am sure it will be back.  There's always something to keep you busy.
