Planting oak trees.

Terry has wanted to plant some oak trees on the property for some time now.   Randy, his son, knew this and started 5-6 seedlings from acorns some time ago.  When Randy came up last weekend he brought 5 lovely small oak trees for Terry to plant.   I thought this was such a beautiful gesture!

So today, due to unforeseen circumstances, Terry had time to plant them.   We are packed and ready to head off tomorrow, on the big ferry, to Newfoundland!   Very exciting, and the weather looks perfect for an almost 7 hour crossing!!

off out for dinner this evening...i wonder where we will end up?   We have been trying to dine out at the wonderful Freight Shed in Baddeck, but for the last 3-4 times there has been a huge line up....so we now go with the anticipation of eating somewhere else in Baddeck!   Always an adventure!
