Waste not, want not...
I run out of stuff. Like campari, or cajun spice. And invariably, by the time I come to do the shopping, I've forgotten that I've run out. Until next time I need it, when I'm up to my ears in chopped veg or too drunk to drive.
I've also decided on a version of my happy wall for my travels - I collected all sorts: pictures, postcards, photos, bookmarks - something from each place I stayed. Only I'm having difficulty finding frames I like for everything, which is why I've been home for almost 7 months it's not done yet.
Stay with me, there's a link here I promise!
The centrepiece of said wall will be a map, showing where I went. Early last year, I bought one of those laminated jobs that you used to see in school so I could plot my journey. However, it also included a lot of Russia, and there's a key down the side. So I hacked it up, keeping the little bit I wanted.
BUT, waste not, want not - there's very little I throw away you know! The other side was white so I thought right, rather than scribbling things I run out of on a bit of paper, which I'll then lose, I'm going to get some dry wipe markers and use the back of the unwanted piece of map. Genius eh!
I told you there was a link!
This is the other Ikea photo frame, which I spent the afternoon covering in black felt and decorating - hey presto, a cute wipe clean shopping list!
Well, I like it anyway...
