Back to the Airmen's Bar!
We did go back to the bar but not until after a day at Ickworth House, which was well worth the visit. Follow my link if you would like to know more. This National Trust run property is set in acres of ground and is built in a fascinating Italianate style. The volunteer National Trust guides were a wealth of knowledge and we spent quite some chatting to them. A really good exploration of the grounds will have to wait for a future visit when perhaps I'm a bit fitter and hopefully the day is not so cool and grey. See extras for a collage of the house and grounds.
Before the G & T vist to the bar we did have a coffee there and would have gone on a preliminary tour of Lavenham, had the heavens not opened with such force that the flat roof next to our room remained waterlogged for the remainder of our stay.
